
Katie has over 10 years of nonprofit experience in programming, fundraising, events, and campaign and account management.
She began her career with the Arthritis Foundation as a Program Coordinator. She went on quickly to become the State Director of Programs and Services for Tennessee, where she managed a large grant from the state of Tennessee and over 14 budgets. She worked primarily on Juvenile Arthritis initiatives, including family education days, an informational backpack program, and Summer Camp Acheaway.
In her next role, Katie joined the March of Dimes in Columbus, OH, managing several walk and run events, including volunteer committees, event logistics, and all sponsorship and donor recognition. Her largest event had over 6,000 attendees.
Next, Katie moved back to Nashville, TN, to serve as a National Account Manager for March of Dimes, managing a portfolio of 15 corporate partner accounts and directly responsible for renewing $1.25 million in revenue from existing partners for the National Corporate Engagement Team. She held the role for five years.
During that time, Katie’s work spanned all aspects of partnership contracts, including retail campaigns, mission integrated collaborations, social media, communications, advocacy, and staff and volunteer engagement.
Katie has volunteered for communications, PR and event planning positions with Zeta Tau Alpha in her local area. She also enjoys volunteering as a room parent for her two children.
