Kathleen Meade is very detail oriented, collaborative and a creative thinker. Her career background includes serving on the policy staff of a former Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Illinois in two separate administrations. She focused on education policy (elementary/secondary and higher education), as well as women’s issues, working with legislators, constituents, government colleagues and partner organizations to build relationships and help shape policy agendas. Kathleen also brings to the table a non-profit background having previously worked at the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago where she was staff on the development team focusing on a regional preparedness initiative and establishing their local government relations program. Most recently, Kathleen owned her own dinner delivery service where she cooked and delivered fully prepared meals to her clients’ homes four nights a week often feeding 50+ people per day while never repeating a recipe.
