Known for her creative, passionate approach to connecting people and identifying solutions, Kia Williams is a leader with proven experience in procuring strategic partnerships, executing successful communications strategies, and overseeing project development. A native of the Washington, DC area, Kia became actively engaged in performing arts and community youth programs where she was introduced to her passion for social justice and the entertainment industry at a young age. Her work as a social change agent among influencers and charitable organizations has continued as a prominent theme throughout her career spanning nearly 20 years.
From managing multi-million-dollar budgets and large teams for a national organization to launching initiatives and brand campaigns for foundations, Kia is a trusted consultant and thought leader. She has blossomed in the niche of helping influencers, organizations, and foundations integrate philanthropy and racial equity into the fabric of their brand and organizational culture—thus, achieving systemic and sustainable impact that helps to create an equitable shift in philanthropy and cause marketing.
Kia obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communications and began her career in public relations. After years in the corporate sector, Kia desired more intrinsic value in her work, so she obtained a master’s degree in Counseling and began working in the non-profit sector. She has completed multiple fellowships and continuing education opportunities and is pursuing a graduate certification in Nonprofit Management from Harvard University.
Kia loves spending time at the beach, traveling, and long conversations with friends and family over a good meal and a glass of wine. She currently resides outside of Philadelphia, PA with her husband Keith and their son Kyle.
