Lauren Hoban

Senior Account Manager
Lauren Hoban

Lauren Hoban has over 13 years of experience in fundraising, community building, corporate relations, events and marketing. After graduating from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Marketing, Lauren began her career in New York City at the American Cancer Society. Working as a member of the Distinguished Events team she managed committees, revenue drivers and Honorees to raise millions of dollars through golf tournaments and galas in the beauty, fashion, financial and wine/spirits industries. Additionally, she managed the national holiday card program for ACS which partnered with singer and artist Tony Bennett to create a one of a kind card every year and raised funds from purchases across the country. Lauren segued into peer-to-peer fundraising in her next role at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society where she started as a Manager but within four years was leading the campaign and department. As Director of the largest Light The Night walk campaign in the country, Lauren managed a $4 million event annually and was responsible for some of the most important corporate relationships including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, PwC and Barclays. Lauren was also point for NYC’s Burlington Coat Factory retail campaign.

Lauren’s next move was in the for-profit world where she spearheaded a new department and role leading community and marketing events at Etsy. Lauren’s job was to strategize new event goals, assess existing events, determine what to eliminate and create new events to meet company goals. Working at Etsy helped strengthen Lauren’s marketing and community building skills which she took to her next role at the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Lauren was part of the leadership team for the organization’s nationwide peer-to-peer Take Steps program, developing national strategies, assessing outcomes, creating resources for dozens of chapter staff to utilize and helping lead national marketing strategy. Lauren’s work streamlined the campaign, saving chapter staff time to devote to their relationship building and fundraising efforts.

Lauren’s mix of experience allows her to see full picture needs and make evidence based assessments on what will likely lead to success.
