Stacey Goldberg has over fifteen years’ experience working both inside nonprofit organizations and as an external advisor. She has counseled more than 50 nonprofits securing over $30 million dollars in corporate funding in her career.
Stacey most recently served as managing director for ESP Properties’ consulting division (formally IEG LLC). There she led consulting engagements to help develop strategies that increased revenue for ESP Properties’ clients and maximized return for their corporate partners. While at ESP Properties, Stacey’s career was highlighted by rapid advancement and consistent achievement in client and project management. As vice president, Stacey worked with many notable nonprofit clients including American Cancer Society, American Medical Association, Canine Companions for Independence, Girl Scouts of America, Kiwanis International and National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Stacey previously held development positions with the American Diabetes Association and the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago. She has a wealth of experience with peer-to-peer fundraising. Early in her career, she ran the Chicagoland Walk for Diabetes (now called Step Up: Walk to Stop Diabetes). She was responsible for managing all aspects of the peer-to-peer event including logistics, volunteer development, individual and team fundraising and local and national corporate sponsorships.
Stacey applied this field knowledge when counseling nonprofit clients at IEG. She led teams that worked with American Cancer Society on partnership strategies for both Relay for Life and DetermiNation (ACS’s marathon training program). She also helped the National MS Society with their national and local Walk MS and Bike MS programming structure and partnerships.
Stacey has a unique understanding of the dynamics between the national headquarters and local field offices of a nonprofit. This experience not only helps her relate to her clients but also helps them avoid common pitfalls on the road to success. Stacey creates strategies and implements plans that ensure all parties—local events, national organization and corporate partners—win.
