Partnership Development Coordinator
Steph Cavico is a sales, recruitment, fundraising, and outreach specialist with over 10 years of experience in developing successful outreach campaigns, cultivating corporate relationships in the Life Science industry, and leading / planning / recruiting for fundraising events. Steph began her career in the non-profit sector as a Recruitment / Outreach Specialist for The American Cancer Society where her love of fundraising and recruiting began. She was a key member of the special events team for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, resulting in an individual acquisition of $92,000 towards a $440,000 event. She performed outreach, educated community members on the mission of The American Cancer Society, conceptualized & led fundraising events, and recruited over 80 fundraising teams.
Prior to For Momentum, Steph had a successful 9+ year career in corporate staffing at Aerotek (now Actalent) where she built her Talent Acquisition / HR career as a Professional Recruiter of Clinical Research & Life Sciences. She held a variety of different roles including recruiting, sales, and training/development. During her tenure, she placed over 400 people in new roles, served as a career counselor, trained and mentored 50+ recruiters, and managed a $1.5 million portfolio. She was awarded “Recruiter of the Year”, “Significant Impact”, and “Leadership Development”, but the COVID-19 pandemic was especially influential as it provided the opportunity to place over 200 consultants in new roles (many of which were displaced due to COVID layoffs).
In addition to her professional roles, Steph’s volunteer experience is centered around cancer research, early child development, and organizations addressing hunger and food insecurity. She is deeply passionate about mission-driven work, partnering with non-profits, and strives to participate in at least one large fundraising event annually.
