Tara Olivier brings more than 15 years of experience in CSR, cause marketing and nonprofit fundraising for leading brands and global nonprofits. Her passion is rooted in creating partnerships and initiatives that deliver mutually beneficial solutions for business and society. Her deep expertise spans strategic philanthropy, employee engagement, public/private partnerships, retail activation and CSR communications.
During her career, Tara has played a lead role in helping companies define their purpose and make a more meaningful impact on social issues important to their business and stakeholders. For US Bank, she helped develop the company’s first ever corporate-wide philanthropy program, Community Possible, aligning $53M in Foundation and corporate giving around consistent CSR efforts. She led the implementation of T-Mobile’s first employee engagement program focused on afterschool programming, engaging more than 15,000 employees through more than 50 community events. Tara also created and helped execute several distinct cause marketing programs for General Mills brands including Yoplait, Betty Crocker, Biscuit and Pillsbury to drive incremental sales, engage retail partners and build equity with moms.
Tara’s experience includes 11 years at Cone Communications where she played a variety of leadership and management roles creating and launching a wide range of campaigns for clients such SunTrust Bank, Ann Taylor, NARS Cosmetics, Best Friends Animal Society, American Cancer Society, Starbucks and Walmart. Prior to joining Cone, Tara worked with a Boston-based public relations firm helping nonprofit groups and government agencies to raise awareness of community issues. She also worked at the Massachusetts State House serving under the House Clerk.
Tara is active in donating her time to local nonprofit groups and providing pro bono counsel on fundraising strategies.
