For Momentum is not a cause marketing firm that provides you with ideas and then leaves you to implement them on your own. Instead, as part of the third step of our three-step process, we will work alongside your organization to bring your partnership strategies to life and gauge prospect interest. To bring the selected partnership strategies to market and test them with potential corporate partners, we move into the Sales Readiness phase. This phase includes:
- Corporate Partner Outreach Materials Development
- Prospect Identification
- Sales Outreach (hours of cause marketing sales support)
During this phase, For Momentum will create outreach materials featuring the selected partnership strategies for approaching potential cause partners. The effectiveness of these strategies will be tested via direct engagement with a select number of partners.
Corporate Partner Outreach Materials Development
For Momentum will create a master partnership sales presentation focused on telling the cause partnership story in the manner potential corporate partners will respond to best. Our proven approach will illustrate how an integrated partnership with you can help the corporate partner achieve business-building strategies such as positive PR, enhanced brand reputation, reach target demographics or improve employee morale, recruitment and retention.
At this time, For Momentum will begin identifying potential prospects that fit the approved partnership strategies. This list will include existing partners (if appropriate), warm prospects and newly identified companies/brands.
When developing your prospect pipeline, we will want to include both warm and cold relationships. We define warm prospects as those familiar with your organization, your brand values and/or the cause. This could include board members, community partners and/or past prospects. We define cold prospects as those with whom no previous relationship exists. If appropriate for the approved strategy, we will also include those companies with whom For Momentum has an existing relationship.
Once we have an approved list of prospects, we will pilot outreach support for 50 hours. We will research multiple points of contact within each company representing different budgets/partnership goals and begin efforts to secure feedback and appointments.
During initial introductory calls, we will explore mutual points of interest and determine next steps for advancing the conversation based on feedback during the call. We will then summarize prospect feedback, which will inform refinements to our partner concepts, opportunities and strategies.
Very few cause marketing agencies leverage their own contacts and resources to provide this level of sales support. It’s one of the things that differentiates us from our competition.
