For Momentum’s Gap Coverage: A Case Study with Start Early

What is Gap Coverage?

At For Momentum, we understand that organizations often face challenges that can temporarily impact their team’s capacity. This is where our gap coverage service comes in. How Does Gap Coverage Work?

Our process is straightforward:

  3. Integration: Our team seamlessly integrates into your existing team, providing the necessary support.

A Success Story: Start Early

One of our recent clients, Start Early, is a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing quality early learning and care. When their Director of Corporate Partnerships went on parental leave, they turned to For Momentum for gap coverage support.

Start Early’s mission is to close the opportunity gap and create more equitable early learning experiences for children. With our support, they were able to continue building unrestricted corporate revenue and expanding their public awareness initiatives during this crucial time.

Planning began for the parental leave coverage several months in advance of the staff person’s leave. Through a series of meetings, we worked together to identify milestones and goals across the 6-month parental leave period to ensure continued progress.

Goals identified were to:

  • Continue momentum in pursuit of corporate partnership lead generation navigating to partnership cultivation and onboarding of new partners.
  • Integrate internally with other teams and programmatic leadership for systems planning to educate and gain organization-wide support, input and establish a delivery process of partner-requested needs/benefits.
  • Progress organization-wide tools and offerings through the development stage, including corporate partner pitch and toolkit materials, partnership packaging of benefit offerings, and structure of impact reporting.

 

Start Early Results

The For Momentum team was able to exceed each milestone from Start Early’s established goals. After six months, we achieved more than 15% above goal for corporate partner opportunities.

We also developed a suite of materials that can be leveraged for years to come including a sales deck, corporate partner toolkit with turnkey collateral and best practices, an executive summary document and customizable partnership proposals.
